- While working at Nanhai Foreign Language School, I taught students aged 9-14 (grade 3-grade 8) across a variety of subjects, including English, Math, and Physics. I frequently participated in campus events such as talent shows, speech and sports competitions, and English fun fairs. In the classroom I am able to connect with all children regardless of age, English skills, or personal interests. Students and I enjoy the atmosphere that we are able to create while learning English. Outside of the classroom, I am professional with colleagues, administration, and communicate well with Chinese co-teachers to plan lessons, track changes in schedules, and analyse student performance. In my first month of teaching at Nanhai Foreign Language School, I was recognized as the Employee of the Month (September 2019) and was awarded Teacher of the Year at the end of the academic period 2019-2020. I recently had to leave China to attend to a family emergency back in the United States but am eager to return to China to continue my teaching and learning experiences.
